National Almond Day Celebrated With Fitness Talent Hunt At Amity University
National Almond Day

National Almond Day comes on January 23rd every year, which simply means shining the spotlight on almonds to enjoy the phenomenal health effects it has in store for us while alerting people to its role in our better health. To celebrate this day, the Almond Board of California joined hands with Amity University Noida to host the Fitness Talent Hunt Show: Health Ambassador of the Year. It was a program meant to promote a healthy lifestyle among students but materialized for the nutritional purpose of almonds.

More than 200 studies published in top scientific journals attest to the benefits of almonds, a powerhouse of nutrition that offers 15 essential nutrients, including vitamin E, magnesium, protein, and healthy fats. These versatile nuts support heart health, lower cholesterol, boost energy, aid in weight management, and enhance skin health, making them a smart addition to any diet.

Over 100 students participated from Amity University, where 50 participating students attended the competition. Three competition rounds took place: the thrilling Fitness Challenge round where they constantly exercised and co-ordinated working in teams; the Recipe Curation Round consisted of preparation done by the students through unique almond dishes that would be tested based on taste, presentation, and nutrition quotient; and the health quiz for some interactive and exciting reasons.

Actress Pankhuri Awasthi said, "This campaign motivates youth toward long-term wellness. Almonds are my favorite snack after any workout, because they are rich in nutrients and antioxidants such as vitamin E, which helps in healthy skin and active lifestyles."

This holistic event has well explained the benefits of almonds and encouraged students towards health and fitness in their daily lives.
