STORYLINE

The movie is about C. Sankaran Nair (Akshay Kumar), a courageous barrister, who resolves to challenge the British empire in the court of law following the barbaric massacre at Jallianwala Bagh. Ananya Panday is a courageous character who assists Nair in bringing out the truth, and R. Madhavan is General Dyer, and demonstrates the cruelty and callousness of the character. The story interweaves courtroom drama and blazing historical events with courage, patriotism, and the quest for justice.

NEGATIVE POINTS

  • Ananya Panday's role comes across as underdeveloped with no depth of emotion which would have added more meaning to the tale.
  • A few courtroom scenes are slow-paced at certain points, disturbing the otherwise well-timed script of the film.

Kesari Chapter 2 is an irresistible and watch-it-out one that not just makes us recall an agonizing part of Indian history but also homage the unknown warriors who were courageous enough to reveal the truth. With superb performances, particularly of Akshay Kumar, and an engrossing story, the film is emotionally intense as well as historically impactful. It is not just a film—it's a message veiled under the cloak of patriotism and gallantry.
