IWP Academy Celebrates 26th Anniversary With “Meraki 2024”

IWP Academy, a premier institute in women's vocational and professional education, celebrated its 26th anniversary with a grand annual festival called "Meraki 2024" at Hyatt Centric, New Delhi. The theme of the festival was "Empowering Women through Financial Independence," celebrating the institution's commitment towards skill development and women empowerment.
Member of Parliament Kamaljeet Sehrawat was the chief guest. She spoke about the importance of skill-building, and said, "If we want to take our country forward, there is only one mantra: skill development," and reiterated Prime Minister Modi's vision: "Naukri lene wale nahi, naukri dene wale bano.
The event was full of vibrant cultural performances, such as fashion shows, dances, and dramas, all intended to highlight the creativity and talent of women. The Managing Director, Vishal Nijhawan, reiterated IWP's mission by saying, "Financial independence breeds confidence, empowering women to lead in many industries and contribute to India's progress.
Renowned industry leaders like Ishika Taneja and Bharti Taneja and other mentors mentored students, who, henceforth, showed more desire to do well. This time, there was even a colorful fashion show which involved ethnic, Indo-Western, and western styles of clothing. From material selection to stitching and to embroidery, every part was undertaken by the students with greater confidence and more repute.
Awards were given in several categories of fashion for the students, and the judges and attendees appreciated the efforts of IWP for nurturing talent. "Meraki 2024" concluded with a powerful message: empowering women through skill development is essential for the transformation of India into a developed nation, aligning with the vision for 2047.
