Storyline
The trailer for Emergency was finally released; this one dealt with the pandemonium after Emergency had been announced. Kangana was seen essaying Indira Gandhi, being loathed by everyone as India went to town in disarray. One of the most striking scenes is when the President confronts her on her unilateral declaration of Emergency, to which she gives a spirited reply, "I am the cabinet."
The story then takes a turn to depict an ever-growing demand for her resignation and declares a political war against her government. Supporting actors like Jayaprakash Narayan by Anupam Kher, Atal Bihari Vajpayee by Shreyas Talpade, and Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw by Milind Soman can be added, which adds such depth and realism to the storytelling.
